Hi there, I’m Jessica Meiman and I’m a psychotherapist practicing in New York City. Call my direct line at (646) 939-2453 & let's get you the help you're looking for.
Finding a good therapist in NYC is no easy task, particularly online where your options seem as endless as Yelp's dinner recommendations. The search can be exhausting, especially when you’re just trying to find someone who will get you.
Letting yourself be vulnerable with a stranger is scary, and I commend you for taking the first step in finding someone.
My therapeutic style is centered around respect and empathy. My aim is to help you alleviate your pain and become more aware of your feelings and patterns of relating to yourself and to others.
Drawing from psychodynamic and existential theories, I use an integrative approach to understand your life experiences and how they have led to your feeling unhappy, lost, or confused, and ultimately seeking therapy.
I believe each person already has in them the natural desire to grow, and that is what therapy with me is all about: personal growth.
Psychotherapy is a brave commitment.
Change, even positive change, can be quite difficult at times. Therapy challenges you to sit with uncomfortable emotions, to explore your pain, all in effort to experience life’s exhilarating joys. To go through such a journey in the presence of another, is truly courageous.
Call (646) 939-2453 to get started.
